Find Computers
This is a wizard wich help you to find and save in excel file the possible target computers listed in your domain(s)
  1. In the Toolbar press  Find Computer...  button.
(Depending of your network it can take a little bit to find all available domains)
  2. Unselect the domains you want to exclude from find computers.
Some time MonitApp can detect all domains in a first run. If that happens just press Check Again button to repeat the search, or add it manually by writing down the name in text field and pressing Add Domain button.
Then press Next >> button to proceed
  3. Unselect target machines that you won't monitor and then press Next >> button to proceed

  4. If you intend to run MonitApp (probably in the future as schedule programmed task) under a user without administrator privileges on all domains, specify here an user and correspondent password for each domain.
(don't warry. What is store is the encrypted password -- with a secret key -- and not the cleartext password)
If you want, but you don't need to, you can check the password pressing the correspondent Check button

  5. Also if you have SNMP configured in target machines you can additional get installed applications. For that purporse put here the SNMP Community -- by default in windows is public --
Then save the results to the excel file by pressing Save button.
  6. Finally you can edit the excel file to check if everything is ok or just tochange something. For example if one of the target machines listed is the local machine (even if not identified by localhost name or 127.0.0.1 IP number) you must clear user and password in correspondent excel row of sheet Host List
At any time in this wizard you can go back by pressing << Back button or Cancel all operation with Cancel button
